Device for taking off contaminated gloves or overboots. The invention relates to a device for taking off protective items of clothing, such as gloves or overboots, which have been contaminated by coming into contact with toxic products or objects. This device comprises a box (4) for removing the gloves into which the operator inserts his gloved hand. A partial vacuum is created in this removing box and confined by virtue of a diaphragm (34) closing tightly around the wrist of the operator. A closing member (17) associated with a valve (13) and with a cover (5) makes it possible, when the glove has been taken off, to send it by suction to a receptacle for contaminated gloves. The invention applies particularly to the nuclear field in which operators handle contaminated products.
