Sintered ceramic microwave heating susceptor

Improved ceramic compositions are provided that are useful in the formulation of microwave susceptors as well as the susceptor articles fabricated therefrom. The novel compositions include a binder and a microwave absorbing material of compounds selected from the group consisting of carbides, borides, or nitrides which compositions are sintered at temperatures above about 800 DEG C.
