An air-permeable plate for cultivation of plants which is formed by combining paper boards treated with a decay-resistant agent using a waterproof adhesive agent thereby providing channels which have contact with the atmosphere, and buried in an area of the medium near the roots of the plants while maintaining the contact of the channels with the atmosphere, in order to provide oxygen to the plants as well as a method for cultivation of plants utilizing such an air-permeable plate.
