<p>PURPOSE:To enhance acceleration performance optimally without interrupting power generation excessively through an accelerator by setting a control mode for each accelerating condition and performing generation suppressing control with a duty control signal corresponding to thus set control mode. CONSTITUTION:Field coil of an alternator 1 is connected with a regulator 2, stator coil of the alternator 1 is connected with a battery 3, and the regulator 2 is connected through an ignition switch 4 with the battery 3. The alternator 1 is driven through the crank shaft of an engine to generate an output corresponding to the rotational speed. The regulator 2 varies the field current for the output voltage of the alternator 1 to regulate the output voltage at a prescribed level and upon voltage drop of the battery 3, it generates power for charging the battery 3. A switching means 5 is controlled by a duty control signal fed from a control unit 10 to normally sustain predetermined power generation and to temporarily suppress power generation at the time of acceleration thus forcibly decreasing power generation of the alternator.</p> |
