TENSION CONTROL METHOD FOR CABLE

PURPOSE:To allow the automatic laying of a cable connected with wires varying in rigidity by automatically adjusting the tension of the cable. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed bias signal is applied to a reference signal and a pulling speed is controlled by the differential signal between the total of the reference signal and the bias signal and a detection signal when the detection signal exceeds the preset threshold with a change in the rigidity of the wires at the time of transmitting the differential signal between the detection signal corresponding to the displacement from the reference position of a dancer roll and the reference signal to a pulling machine for the optical fiber cable 2 and controlling the pulling speed of the pulling machine 3 in accordance with the differential signal. The reference position which is substantially the bases for the displacement of the dancer roll is changed in correspondence to a change in the rigidity of the wires and the tension control meeting the kinds of the wires is executed.
