PURPOSE:To provide a clip circuit of a color difference signal with a small circuit scale as compared with a conventional clip circuit composed of a three- input and one output selector and two comparators. CONSTITUTION:A clip circuit of a color difference signal with a comparative small circuit scale can be obtained since the circuit is composed of a first selector 8 outputting one of an upper limit value signal and a lower limit value signal by a code bit of a color difference signal, a comparator 9 comparing the sizes of an output signal and the color difference signal of the first selector 8, an exclusive logical OR circuit 10 inputting the output signal of the comparator 9 and the code bit of the color difference signal, and a second selector 11 outputting one of the color difference signal and the output signal of the first selector 8 by the output signal of the exclusive logical OR circuit 10. |
