PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image not having image fogging. CONSTITUTION:A toner carrier 1 is rubbed by a conductive rubber roller 4 to form a toner thin layer, and simultaneously, the electric charge of toner 3 is set to a prescribed polarity by friction-charging. An electric field in a direction where the toner 3 of the polarity reverse to the electrifying polarity of the toner thin layer is attracted to the conductive rubber roller 4, is formed between the conductive rubber roller 4 and the toner carrier 1, that is, the voltage of the same polarity as the electrifying polarity of the toner thin layer is applied on the conductive rubber roller 4, so that the toner 3 of the reverse polarity is removed from the toner thin layer. |
