MULTIAXIAL ANISOTROPIC DAMPER FOR VIBRATION INSULATION AND RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain the damper having a Coulomb damper effect by coupling a rugged friction generating part provided within the recess of the recessed part of a container and a connecting part connecting the hollow recessed part to the outside. CONSTITUTION:An exterior part 6 and a displacement part 2 are formed of rubber elastic materials which are soft enough to allow displacement. A silicone oil 5 is packed into the container of the recessed part and ruggedness of about 50mum in diameter and 100mum in height is provided on the inner side of the displacement part 2. Large friction is generated between the microrugged part of the displacement part and the oil 5 when a vertical vibration is applied in this constitution. The damper utilizing the loss by such friction is called Coulomb damper. The Coulomb damper characteristic attenuates in vibration in proportion to the square of vibration frequencies and the resonance at f0 is extremely small an excellent multiaxial integral type damper having an excellent vibration insulation characteristic is attained with a small size by utilizing such phenomena.
