PURPOSE:To eliminate thermal effect of the exhaust gas heat upon the intake system by providing an exhaust gas lid on the cylinder case of engine and forming at the lower part of the lid an exhaust passage extending in the direction opposite to the direction of the intake passage. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder case 1 is provided at its top with a groove 7, and an exhaust gas lid 9 having cooling fins 13 is provided above the groove 7 such that an exhaust gas passage 10 is formed by the groove 7 and lid 9. An exhaust gas port 6 which is open to the interior of the case 1 is connected to a muffler 11 provided on one side of the cylinder 2 via the exhaust gas passage 10. An intake port 3 which is open into the case 1 is connected to a carburetor 5 and an air cleaner 4 provided on the opposite side of the muffler 11. |
