<p>The invention relates to a heater of metal tubes intimately connected to one another, in which the connections between in each case two tubular elements of the heater are produced by a hole being formed in the wall of the one tubular element. The hole is surrounded by a margin flanged in the axial direction of the tubular element to be connected to the aforesaid tubular element. This results in a slip-in or slip-on mounting into whose gap the filler material used for the intimate connection flows. Furthermore, a method of producing such heaters is claimed, in which a die or a punch is inserted into the one tube. The die or punch is composed of two elements interacting via surfaces inclined with regard to the axis of the tube.</p> |
