PURPOSE:To surely detect the life of each photosensitive drum by simple constitution and to inexpensively accomplish recording with stable image quality as for a system for detecting the life of a photosensitive drum of an electrophotographic recorder provided with the photosensitive drum, a driving instruction part for instructing the driving of the photosensitive drum and an alarm part which gives an alarm concerning the life of the photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:A life information storage part 20a where life information being information showing the life of the photosensitive drum 10 is previously stored, and an integration time information storage part 20b where integration time information being information showing the integrated use time of the photosensitive drum 10 is stored are provided the photosensitive drum 10. This system is also equipped with a user time integration part 60 for renewing the integration time by adding the use time until finishing driving to the integration time stored in the storage part 20b based on the instruction of driving by the driving instruction part 70, and a comparison part 40 which compares the life information read out from the storage part 20a with the integration time and instructs the alarm part 50 to give the alarm based on the compared result. |
