PURPOSE:To obtain a color image of high quality at a low cost by eliminating color slurring of a superposed image by improving scanning precision of a laser beam when a multi color image is formed by superposing laser beam for each color on a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:In a color printer, forming the multi color image on the photosensitive body through formation of an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body by exposing and scanning each color with a polygon mirror and executing developing of corresponding colors, PLL control circuits 202 and 205 (reference oscillators 203 and 206) controlling the relationship between rotational speed N0 of the photosensitive body, rotational speed N1 of the polygon mirror, and the number of mirror surfaces (m) of the polygon mirror to be N1=k.m.N0 (k is an arbitrary integer which is k>=1) is provided. |
