PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a negative electrode can, the separation of a negative electrode plate and a negative electrode collector, also contact failure due to a negative electrode plate variation at the time of a charge/ discharge cycle, and moreover improve a cycle life. CONSTITUTION:A joining part of a negative electrode collector 2 to a negative electrode can 1 is placed at a position displaced toward one side end part from the center of the negative electrode collector, and moreover the joining part is located in an outer peripheral part of a negative electrode plate 10. The joining of one side of the negative electrode collector enables the negative electrode plate to be freely bent without restrained with the negative electrode can. This causes the nondeformation of the negative electrode can even the negative electrode plate is bent, and the nonseparation of the connection part of the negative electrode collector from the negative electrode can.
