PURPOSE:To realize an efficient retrieval of a picture by executing the natural display of the picture at displaying speed requested by a user just like to turn the page of a book at the time of retrieving the required picture. CONSTITUTION:A control part 100 to control supplying order in a forward direction and a backward direction of plural pictures and picture switching sped to determine the number of the restored pictures per unit time based on operation input, and a restoring part 200 to select the picture based on the control instruction of the code control part 100 and simultaneously, decode and display the picture from the code data of the selected picture are provided. Accordingly, since the supply control of the code data conforming with the switching speed and the displaying order of the picture the user requests is executed, the picture can be retrieved in natural feeling just like to turn over the page of the book and at high speed. Thus, the retrieval and the display of a data base using the restored picture can be made more adequate, and the efficient picture retrieval can be realized. |
