The invention relates to a process for the collection of sheet-shaped objects. The objects 1,2 to be collected are guided between a feed unit comprising two conveyors 5,6 operating in bearing contact one with the other. These units have been arranged two side by side in parallel at such a distance apart that they take hold of the objects to be collected close to the motional direction edges. According to the invention, the successively guided objects are bent in relation to one another to prevent the objects sliding on one another when they are guided edge to edge in the motional direction. <IMAGE>
