OPTICAL PICKUP DEVICE AND POLARIZATION ROTATIONAL ANGLE AMPLIFYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To contrive the miniaturization, the reduction in weight and the reduction in cost of an optical pickup device. CONSTITUTION:Single glass board 15 arranged so as to incline to an optical axis is provided between a semiconductor laser 11 and a converging optical system comprizing of a collimating lens 12 and an objective lens 13. A divergent beam outgoing from the semiconductor laser 11 is converged at an optical disk 20 by the condensing optical system. Reflected light from the optical disk 20 is reflected at the front and the rear surface of the glass board 15 respectively and received by optical detectors 21A and 21B while being converged by the condensing optical system. A data read signal, a tracking error signal and a focusing error signal are made based on the output signal of the optical detectors 21A and 21B.
