The invention refers to a wide-angle projection lens, in particular for cassette projectors for the 8 mm film format and Super 8 mm, for which great value is attached to the intersectional distance of the lens used. According to the invention, the lens is formed by a front negative part (G1) consisting of a bi-convex lens (1) and a dispersal meniscus (2), and a rear positive part (G2) consisting of three simple lenses (3, 4, 5) and a cemented lens (6, 7).
