The machine has a baseplate on which two spring-loaded platforms are mounted. The book (8) is placed on the platforms and is covered by two transparent belts (7) each of which has one end attached to a roller (5,6) driven by electric motors. The free end of each belt is attached to the edges of the page turning device. The page turning drive has two parallel bars defining a gap which extends in the direction of the page separating assembly. USE/ADVANTAGE - The machine may be used with photo-copiers or as an aid to the physically handicapped.
