The shelving comprises upright stands (2) connected together by beams (3). When the shelves are placed back to back, the slightly higher stop rails (5) which are placed at the same level are connected together in the centre by a narrow connector (6) so as not to restrict the free space between the stop rails. The end frames of the shelving can define open areas (4). ADVANTAGE - The thickness of the stop rails can be reduced whilst still providing adequate protection against the goods being pushed through.
