The modular intake contains a shaft (21) carrying the flap valve (13), and held on both sides in side pieces (17,18). The side pieces are connected via webs (19,20). The webs and shaft are positioned aligned, parallel to the flow. The external distance of the opposite webs corresponds to the diameter of the shoulder (24) of the throttle flap (13). The side pieces have a shoulder (23) which determines the leakage gap in direction of flap width, when the flap valve is closed. USE/ADVANTAGE - Modular flap valve for IC engine intake with stable fixing of shaft bearings with reduced mechanical working of intake tube.
