The tool spindle with tool clamp consists of a draw bar which fits with its threaded end (15) in a jaw holder (16) on which jaws (24) are mounted. The thread is locked against rotation by a pin (30), of non-circular section, which fits into a matching hole in the end of the draw bar (14) and jaw holder (16).The threaded bore in the jaw holder can have a counter screw. ADVANTAGE - The arrangement prevents the draw bar becoming undone from the jaw holder.
