The connecting fitting is for a vehicle seat with an adjustable back rest. The rotary bearings are formed as sliding bearings (5, 6) and the larger bearing (6) encloses and is spaced from the smaller bearing (5) by an eccentric (4). A common plane runs through the sliding bearings and the interacting teeth (1a and 2a), with a disc-type friction brake (10) integrated into the fitting. USE/ADVANTAGE - Vehicle seat adjustment joint which is easy to move even though the tolerances at the bearing joint are kept relatively small. (Dwg.1/3)
