Testing system for cross points and wiring of measuring network - uses different colour LED(s) for indicating correct function of each tested cross point

The testing system is used for a measuring network with a processor-controlled central unit linked to a number of measuring units via the public telephone network. A cross point test plug has red and green LED's for each of the tested cross points, which when plugged into a measuring unit socket provides connections between the measuring unit and each cross point input and output. The test plug is connected to a voltage source. The correct function of the measuring unit is indicated by illumination of one set of diodes for the input connections and the other set of diodes for the output connections with both set of diodes illuminated when the cross points are switched through. ADVANTAGE - Reduced testing complexity, quick testing times, does not need level measurers.
