The nucleotide sequences substantially corresponding to all or part of the fractions of the BVD virus genome encoding the glycoproteins gE2 and gE1 respectively, or combinations or fragments of the latter, are used for the preparation of peptides and recombinant viruses incorporating or expressing these peptides.
