PURPOSE:To display a graph with an abbreviation waveform under a natural condition by performing AND-addition on a pattern for erasing and a graphc pattern in an area relevant for displaying an abbreviation waveform, and then, performing OR-addition on the pattern thus obtained and a pattern for display. CONSTITUTION:An auto-scaling control section 30 outputs information for appointing an area relevant for displaying the abbreviation waveform of a graphic memory to a graph delineation control section 40 and, at the same time, a seizure signal to an abbreviation waveform delineation controlling section 50. The control section 50 performs AND-addition 55 on a pattern for erasing and a graphic pattern in an area relevant for displaying an abbreviation waveform at the unit of a prescribed bit and obtains a graphic pattern, from which each bit corresponding to an area in the abbreviation waveform is cut off. Then the control section 50 performs OR-addition 56 on the obtained graphic pattern and a pattern for display at the unit of a prescribed bit and obtains a graphic pattern of an abbreviation waveform. This pattern is written in the original area in the graphic memory in the control section 40 and a graph with an abbreviation waveform is displayed by a CRT monitor 60 under a natural condition. |
