PURPOSE:To render the titled plate developable with water, and to enhance printing resistance and ink receptivity, by adding a polymer having polyoxy ethylene or poly (oxyethylene/oxypropylene) copolymer segments to a photosensitive layer of the titled layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer containing as a polymer filler, polyamide, polyurethane, polyester, or the like having 10-90wt% polyoxyethylene segments or poly (oxyethylene/oxypropylene) copolymer segments of 100-5,000 number average mol. wt. is formed on a silicone rubber layer subbed on a substrate, such as plastic film, or metallic plate. A lithographic original plate having this photosensitive layer can be developed with tap water, has high polymer strength, and can obtain image lines having ink receptivity superior to the conventional hydrophilic polymer. |
