METHOD FOR RENEWING A TRACK AND A MACHINE ARRANGEMENT

A track is progressively renewed in an operating direction by continuous ly lifting the used track rails from the used ties, replacing the old ties by n ew ties and laying new rails on the new ties. Before the new rails are laid, adjoining ends thereof are continuously welded together behind the location where the ties are exchanged and the welded rails are exchanged for the used rails.
