The two conveyor sections (8,9) are mounted in parallel planes but evenly spaced from the common horizontal rotary axis (3). The conveyor sections which each have integrated tension holders (10) for the narrow band collar (11) can be brought by the turning device into at least two swivel positions. In these,each upwardly aligned conveyor section lies flush with the horizontal conveyor plane whilst the other downwardly aligned conveyor section (9) is positioned above the pallet (P) and/or the stack of deposited collars (11). ADVANTAGE - High operating speeds can be achieved without needing extra space, whilst the masses moved are reduced to a minimum thereby reducing energy consumption.
