<p>Manual apparatus for dispensing liquid agricultural chemicals comprises a backpack (30) supporting a reservoir (31) for liquid chemical, a fan (33) for generating air streams, and liquid spray generating means (35a) which comprises nozzles (36) for injecting liquid chemical to be dispensed into the air streams, the spray generating means being mounted such that the liquid spray pattern generated by it is always behind the operator. The apparatus can include a plurality of nozzles arranged around an arcuate path to lie in a common plane substantially at right angles to the intended direction of travel of the operator, and arranged to discharge liquid chemical rearwardly of the said common plane. <IMAGE></p> |
