PURPOSE:To inspect a printing result automatically in order to perform the verification method of a printing result more easily and accurately, as printing devices become having more functions and higher density recently. CONSTITUTION:A dot number per character memory medium 6 is prepared in a dot per character conversion program 5 by a character font in a laser beam printer control ware 3, and dot numbers for characters, graphics, images and overlay printings are respectively calculated at a printing position, dot number calculating program 4, and are compared with dot numbers, which are calculated in a dot number calculating program in a full dot memory 7, at a comparison unit 8, and the comparison result is output to a output unit 9 to automatically inspect a printing result. In this way, the verification of a printing result is automated, and effects such as the reduction of printing result verification manhours, or improvement of test efficiency, etc., can be obtained. |
