摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce steering force necessary in the case of changing steering in rear wheels due to geometry of the rear wheel suspension device in a rear wheel steering vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Both links 53L and 55L (53R and 55R) and shock absorbers 51L (51R) are arranged, so that instantaneous centers OL (OR) in the case of changing steering in rear wheels 2L(2R) situated on intersections of extension lines of shaft lines of the links 53L (53R) with the links 55L (55R) can be situated more inside of a vehicle body than installation points CL (CR) to rear wheel supports 22L (22R) for the links 55L (55R), and also that forces FAL (FAR) can be acted in the frontward direction of the vehicle body from the shock absorbers 51L (51R) to the links 55L (55R). In the case of changing the steering in the rear wheels, distances X3L (X3R) between the installation points CL (CR) and the instantaneous centers OL (OR) are increased on the outer wheel side, and are decreased on the inner wheel side, and the sum of inward moments ML and MR acted upon the rear wheels 2L (2R) by means of the forces FAL (FAR) becomes positive in the steering changing direction. Thereby, steering force necessary in the case of changing the steering in the rear wheels can be reduced.
