<p>PURPOSE:To prevent surely hindrance to be caused by the flap of an envelope without the need of excessive parts by forming a pressing member that presses an envelope in the case of a paper sheet being an envelope, as part of a paper sheet detection sensor to detect the presence of a paper sheet on a mount. CONSTITUTION:An operating piece 7 is supported rotatably at a bracket 8 that fixes a sensor portion 6, and retained at a non-operation position as indicated by a solid line when there is no paper sheet. When there is a paper sheet, the operating piece 7 is pushed up because of the paper sheet, and a limit switch 6 is made ON, and the existence of the paper sheet is indicated. At this time, the operating piece 7 push-presses the paper sheet, that is, the flap of an envelope toward a mount plate 10 movable up and down at a paper sheet mount 2, and the flap of the envelope is transported in a state of being pressed, and the floating is prevented. Accordingly, even an envelope is smoothly fed without its flap being floated up, and feed is carried out without causing hindrances such as the generation of skew, jam or the like, and the generation of wrinkles or the like.</p> |
