PURPOSE: To enhance the heat resistance, wetting/leaking properties, non-dye permeability and self-cleaning properties of a non-sticky coat by forming a dye thermal transfer sheet with a dye thermal transfer layer on one of the surfaces and a non-sticky support containing a polymerization reaction product between a polyfluorinated resin with acrylate functional properties and an ethylene unsaturated crosslinking agent on the other surface. CONSTITUTION: A dry sheet for heat-transfer printing has a dye thermal transfer layer formed on one of the surfaces and a support with a non-sticky layer containing a polymerization reaction product between (a) at least one kind of a polyfluorinated resin having acrylate functional properties and (b) at least one kind of an ethylene unsaturated crosslinking agent, formed on the other surface. In addition, the polymerization reaction between (a) and (b) is typically initiated by a free radical mechanism. The common initiator of this kind of chemical reaction is such as a thermal or a photo-initiator but in this case, the latter is preferable. Further, the support for a dye supply material of whatever type can be used, provided, however, that it has dimensional stability and is resistant to the heat of a thermal printing head. |
