PURPOSE:To separate and purify the subject substance without using a large amount of organic solvent by adding an acid amide, etc., and an acid to a methyl esterification reaction liquid of a polyene-type antibiotic substance and separating insoluble materials from the obtained aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of a methyl-esterified polyene-type antibiotic substance is produced by adding an acid (e.g. glutamic acid, hydrochloric acid or formic acid) and at least one kind of substance selected from acid amide (e.g. formamide and nicotinamide), its derivative, urea and its derivative to a methyl-esterification reaction liquid of a polyene-type antibiotic substance or an intermediate process product to separate and obtain a methyl-esterified polyene-type antibiotic substance from the above reaction liquid. The insoluble materials are separated from the obtained aqueous solution to obtain the objective substance in purified state. |
