PURPOSE:To emulate a printer by preventing printed results from errors and distortion to be caused by a difference in resolving power concerning a printer which controls by varying resolution according to the resolution of another printer which has an emulation performance of the other printer and performs emulation. CONSTITUTION:In a printer which has a printer mechanism part 3 printing by specific resolution and a printer control part 4 receiving a printing data from an upper device and controlling the printer mechanism part 3, and has the emulation performance of another printer, the printer mechanism part 3 is composed of a mechanism of which printing resolution is variable, and the printer control part 4 indicates the printing resolution which is integral times printing resolution of the other printer to the printer mechanismpart 3 according to indication of emulation from the upper device. |
