PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a sudden rise of the engine speed and reduction of the speed change even in the case where abnormality of a speed sensor is generated by providing a speed sensor abnormality detecting means, a change gear ratio program control means and a first switching means. CONSTITUTION:When abnormality of a speed sensor 101 is detected by a speed sensor abnormality detecting means 105, a change gear ratio program control means 106 changes the change gear ratio on the basis of a program. Simultaneously, a first switching means 107 switches the change gear ratio from the change gear ratio decided by a change gear ratio deciding means 103 to the change gear ratio decided by the change gear ratio program control means 106, and the switched change gear ratio is sent to the change gear ratio deciding means 103. An automatic transmission 104 is controlled by the change gear ratio deciding means 103 on the basis of the decided change gear ratio. Consequently, in the case where abnormality of the speed sensor is generated, a change gear ratio is controlled on the basis of a program to reduce the speed of an automobile smoothly. A driver thereby can avoid the shock. |
