PURPOSE:To obtain the absolute flow velocity of the blood flow at a sample point by retrieving the point of the same speed as the speed of the sample point on a two-dimensional blood flow image and specifying the true blood flow direction at the sample point from the sample point and the same speed point thereof. CONSTITUTION:A raster memory 9a of an angle detector stores the two-dimensional blood flow image from a moving target injector system 6 at every raster thereof. A same speed point searching section 9b reads the blood flow velocity on the two-dimensional blood flow image at the sample point out of the raster memory 9a in accordance with the position information at the sample point from a range gate controller 8. The point of the same blood flow velocity as the blood flow velocity of the sample point on the raster adjacent to the raster where the sample point exists is retrieved on the raster memory 9a and the depth of the same speed point as the sample point is outputted to an angle computing section 9c. A computing section 9c calculates the angle theta formed of the raster direction and the blood flow direction of the sample point by using a raster pitch Pd and both depths. An absolute flow velocity computing section 10 calculates the absolute flow velocity together with the lapse of time. |
