PURPOSE:To enhance the breaking performance while a car is running on a frozen road surface and also the resistance against eccentric wear on an ordinary road surface. CONSTITUTION:At the tread 1 of a pneumatic tire, blocks 4 are provided each of which is formed from a plurality of main grooves 2 stretching in the tire circumferential direction and aux. grooves 3 intersecting them, wherein at least one notch 5 is furnished each block 4 in the direction across the tire width, and a projection 6 is formed on one of the mating surfaces of the notch 5 in its inner side, while a dimple 6' to mesh with the projection 6 is formed at the other surface. Thus a studless type pneumatic tire is accomplished. |
