The automatic press control system manlessly operates a plurality of presses distributedly located at remote positions, and generally manages the process states of the presses by use of a computer system. The press control system comprises a display (12a) indicating process numbers and product specifications; a display (12c) indicating current process numbers and faulty product numbers; a display (12d) indicating stroke states of the presses; a computer system (11) processing work quantity corresponding to conditions detected in a sensor part (13); an encoder type stroke distance detector (131A), connected with an input port of the computer system (11), measuring the stroke distance of the presses.
