Novel design, applicable to a roof having sheds comprising steeply sloping glazed faces alternating with gently sloping opaque faces, the advantage of which is to be able to add to the illumination function of such an arrangement the function of a solar collector, by using its southerly-oriented opaque faces as collecting surfaces. These two functions are diagrammatically indicated in the axonometric perspective of the roof arrangement depicting: (1) for the north-facing glazed frames; (2) for the south-facing solar collector (S) consisting, by way of non-limiting example, of photovoltaic modules. <IMAGE>
