FORCE FEEDING DEVICE FOR OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PURPOSE:To provide the novel force feeding device for an optical fiber cable which is used for a pneumatic feeding method for optical fibers and can be greatly improved in a force feeding characteristic. CONSTITUTION:An introducing port 3 which is introduced with the optical fiber cable H and has a sealing part 7 for hermetically holding the cable is formed at one end of an internally hollow pressure vessel 2 for force feeding to be introduced with compressed fluid of the force feeding device 1 for the optical fiber cable which force feeds the optical fiber cable H into a previously laid pipeline 5 for force feeding. A delivery port 4 which delivers the optical fiber cable H and is connected to the pipeline 5 for force feeding is formed at the other end thereof. Further, a delivery driving wheel 10 which crimps the optical fiber cable H introduced from the introducing port 3 and delivers the cable into the pipeline 5 for force feeding is provided in the pressure vessel 2 for force feeding and plural pieces of ruggedness are formed on the surface of the delivery driving wheel 10.
