PURPOSE:To obtain the cable which is simple in constitution, is simple in the production process as well and is inexpensive by directly applying a sheath on the outer periphery of a grooved member, thereby constituting the above cable. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 2 are formed in the circumferential part of the grooved member 1 disposed with a tensile wire body 3 at the center. The grooves 2 are formed parallel with the central axis of the grooved member 1. The sheath 4 is applied on this grooved member 1, by which a cavity part is formed and a pipeline for force feeding of the wire bodies for communication, such as optical fibers is obtd. The need for a stage for bundling tubes is then eliminated and the cable for pneumatic feeding is economically produced. The number of the conventional tubes corresponds eventually to the number of pieces of the grooves 2 of the grooved member 1 and air flow can be induced independently in the respective cavity parts enclosed by the sheath 4. The (cavity) cable for pneumatic feeding is thus obtd. The grooves 2 are not required to be spirally formed and may be straightforward in a longitudinal direction and, therefore, the inexpensive production of the grooved member 1 itself is possible. |
