A method for synthesizing glucuronides of 4,5-epoxy morphinanes having formula (I). The method comprises, optionally after acetylation, a first step of reacting a compound of formula (I') with a derivative of formula (II), and a second step of hydrolyzing the resulting compound. The method is characterized in that the hydrolysis step is performed by means of at least one alkali metal, preferably lithium, which is provided in the form of a metal or of at least one salt.
