Structure with foldable arms for a sailboat making it possible to adopt multi-hull with pivoting floats, sailboat, single-hull and road towing configurations. Usable especially with multi-hulls with a fixed sail, which are self-steerable with incidence control surfaces for the sail (43) and the rudder (45). The linking members are arranged substantially into a pyramid. One central hull (8) with a cockpit forms a shelter. Retractable wheels (17, 18) and a shackle allow conversion into a road trailer. Launching and removal from the water are facilitated by a pulling device for folding and deploying of the arms. A safety element (37) arranged on each pivot (12, 13, 14) reduces the risks of capsizing, already small due to the general arrangement. <IMAGE>
