PURPOSE:To sustain function even upon detection of an erroneous set value being stored in a memory. CONSTITUTION:The digital protective relay comprises setting memories A, B comprising a nonvolatile RAM which can arbitrarily rewrite the set value and a setting memory C comprising a ROM in which the set value is fixed. At first, set value in the setting memory A is checked (S1, S2) and the set value in the setting memory A is employed if it is correct (S2YES, S3). If the set value in the setting memory A is not correct (S2 NO), set value in the setting memory B is checked (S4, 5) and the set value in the setting memory B is employed if it is correct (S5YES S6). If the set value in the setting memory B is not correct (S5 NO), an alarm is outputted (S7) and the set value in the setting memory C is employed (S8) for backing up the memory. |
