PURPOSE:To enable a driven to instantaneously visually recognize the optimum road for travelling of own vehicle by storing data of shape enlarged map of intersections separately, and manufacturing the display data of the shape enlarged map for display. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle guidance display device displays a road map, the optimum road, and the present position of a vehicle to guide the vehicle, and a compound intersection memory 15, in which data of shape enlarged map of intersection having multiple branches started from different points are stored, is provided. When a vehicle comes close to this intersection, the data of the shape enlarged map of this intersection stored in the compound intersection memory 15 is accessed, and the display data of the shape enlarged map is manufactured to be displayed by a display 12. Consequently, shape and the optimum guidance road of the compound intersection is displayed accurately. A driver can thereby visually recognize the optimum road for travelling of own vehicle in an instant, and the vehicle guidance display device can support the travelling effectively. |
