<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a compact and inexpensive tablet device unified with a display function that contains an easy-to-see display screen. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit 7 changes over and selects a detection control circuit 6 in a coordinate detecting period in the control of a control circuit 10. A segment driving circuit 3 produces the segment electrode scanning signals based on each signal received from the circuit 6 and scans successively the segment electrodes X of a liquid crystal panel 1. Then a common driving circuit 2 produces the common electrode scanning signals and scans successively the common electrodes Y. An (x) coordinate detecting circuit 8 and a (y) coordinate detecting circuit 9 detect the (x) and (y) coordinates of the tip of an electronic pen 11 based on the voltage induced at the tip electrode of the pen 11. Meanwhile the circuit 7 switches and selects a display control circuit 4 in a display period and displays the images on the panel 1. In such constitution, a tablet device is unified integrally with a display function.</p> |
