Device for limiting the length of rows of wheeled materials-handling cars as used for large-scale distribution. The invention relates to an independent device for imposing an order and a given number for the storage of cars with or without loads; it enables cars to be brought in or taken out one by one only. It consists of a limiting block casing (1) having three leaves [doors] (2) (3) (4), the middle one being able to pivot about axes: (4b) when the car is being brought in, or (4a) when the car is being taken out. The closure leaf (4) can pivot only in the direction of pivoting either of the leaf (2) or of the leaf (3) on condition that the other is in the position shown in the figure. If therefore a car is engaged, one of the leaves (2) or (3) accordingly pivots, and one of the catches (5) (6) is locked on (4a) or (4b); any attempt to pivot the second leaf at the same time locks the second catch and prevents the closure member from pivoting, thereby prohibiting any further introduction or the bringing-in or taking-out of more than one car simultaneously. <IMAGE>
