PURPOSE:To surely recognize a notice by returning the control over a prescribed notice means automatically even when other notice means is selected tentatively in the radio selective calling receiver. CONSTITUTION:The receiver is provided with a storage means (ROM 8 or the like) storing one of plural notice means and a preset time, a time counter means 13 measuring the stored time when it is in operation, and a means (control section 5 or the like) selecting the notice means whose number is stored in the storage means for the notice means selected already while the time counter means is measuring time. The notice means whose number is stored is selected for the stored time, and the notice means having been already selected is automatically restored after lapse of the count time or when a reset means (reset switch 16) is operated so that disable recognition of notice due to the return selection of notice means left undone is prevented.
