PURPOSE:To obtain a semiconductor exciting solid laser wherein high exciting efficiency and miniaturization equivalent to an ordinary semiconductor laser are realized, the life of a semiconductor laser chip is improved, and the operation is stabilized. CONSTITUTION:Mirrors 6 and 7 for laser resonance are fixed to the semiconductor laser light incidence surface and the semiconductor laser light emission surface of a solid laser crystal 8, respectively. The mirror 6 of the crystal 8 is substantially brought into close contact, via a transparent resin layer 9, with the front cleavage surface of a semiconductor laser chip 4 on a submount 3. The front cleavage surface of the semiconductor chip 4 is protected by the transparent resin layer 9. |
